The project is to provide a single dwelling for Richard Elman and his children and extended family. This application follows the previous application where permission was granted for planning permission and listed building consent in July 2016 reference numbers DC/16/0948FUL and 0949 LBC. the work is fundamentally the same as the previous application and is for the repair and alteration of the listed farmhouse. The construction of a new single storey kitchen and glass link corridor. The repair and incorporation of a disused timber framed barn into part of the house accommodation. The part repair and part reconstruction of some disused farm sheds to provide additional accommodation. The alteration of an existing single storey workshop range to provide additional family bedrooms. Re-landscaping the garden and reopening the original drive. The differences between the two applications are (1) the inclusion of an access platform type lift in the farmhouse to give access to the first floor bedrooms. (2) The detailed design of the proposed new garage block and (3) the inclusion of an open sided covered link between the garage and the new accommodation south of the barn to allow dry access from garage to the house. there have also been some minor alterations to the ground and first floor layouts in the Farmhouse.
