The building is bordered to the north and east by mature vegetation, to the south by existing industrial uses and to the west by a car parking facility. The closest residential properties are located circa 190m to the north of Skylark Drive. The proposed system would be installed to MCS and MICEIC regulations. The solar pv panels will be mounted on a mounting rail system and would not project more than 1 metre above the highest part of the roof. The panels would not extend to within 1m of the external edges of the roof plane. Due to the size and location of the proposed development, and existing surrounding development, it is expected there will be minimal glare on surrounding receptors.
